Nancy David

As an artist and mandala facilitator, Nancy sees her creative work as a service, a way of bringing beauty and light into our world.

Nancy David is a Certified Mandala Facilitator of  “Mandalas for  Healing”
and has mentored with  
Judith Cornell, Ph. D. since 1994. For the past two years, Nancy has served on the mandala facilitation training team to mentor others. She also served as assistant to Judith Cornell, author of Mandala: Luminous Symbols for Healing, in nationwide mandala retreats.  Several of her mandalas are featured in Judith Cornell’s, Mandala Healing Kit.  Nancy has also trained with Eileen M. Rose, author of Create Your Own Sand Mandala: For Meditation, Healing and Prayer

Since 1997, Nancy has facilitated individual and group mandala sessions for spiritual and emotional healing in North Carolina. She has facilitated community mandalas, including a sand mandala for peace, sponsored by the Yoga Gallery and Dada in Winston-Salem, NC.  Jointly, she and Martha Kiger, offer regional mandala programs in the Southeast, including retreats at  Satchidananda Ashram - Yogaville.                    

Nancy holds an M.A. from Appalachian State University in Child Development. She has experience in the Reggio Emilia model of early childhood education and has worked with young children, nurturing and documenting their symbolic development.

An accomplished stained glass artist, Nancy has translated mandala images into glass including a commission for the Well of Mercy retreat center. She trained in stained glass design and production at the Sawtooth School for Visual Art and Forsyth Technical Community College In Winston-Salem, NC. She apprenticed under Betti Longionatti, Glass Artist, on production of windows for Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, High Point, NC.  Nancy currently teaches stained glass design and production at the Sawtooth School for Visual Art.
